Three teenagers in Washington were allegedly held at gunpoint Wednesday by a man who forced them to the ground, then he went on to lecture them on crime in the area, because of course. How else do you lecture children about crime unless you’re pointing a lethal weapon right at them?
The three 13-year-olds were playing basketball at about 8:00 p.m. at a community court near Hansville when they were approached by the man, according to reports, the Kitsap Sun reports.
The teens reported the incident to their parents, who then called the authorities. According to the report, they said the man was dropped off in a silver pickup, possibly a Dodge, with orange cab lights, then the man shined a flashlight at the teenagers.
At that point, the man with a gun, whose hands were shaking, pointed the semi-automatic pistol at the children and told them he wasn’t “playing around” then ordered them to lie face down on the ground.
You see how guns are totally not scary, right?
The man then proceeded to ask the youths what they were doing and told them there had been some vandalism and car thefts in the area and alleged that a neighbor had asked him to investigate the matter.
The teenagers described the man with a gun as white and in his 60s or 70s with white hair.
The truck that brought the man there, returned and another white man, described as heavyset with grayish hair, shook one of the youths’ hands then patted another one of the teens on the back.
At that point, the man with the gun got into the truck and the two men left.
And they all lived happily ever after. The gun incident will certainly show those young whippersnappers a thing or two about being unlawful, should it ever cross their minds while playing an innocent game of basketball. That’ll learn ’em!
Kitsap sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident. Hint: Look for a couple of old dudes with flashlights and a gun.
