Sarah Palin tried and failed to lie her a** off on the “Today Show” this morning, but thankfully Matt Lauer saw through her bullsh*t and called her out on live TV. Palin was on the show this morning to talk about the Iowa Caucus and Donald Trump, so when the conversation turned to her son, Track Palin’s recent domestic violence arrest, Sarah pretty much lost her sh*t.
Savannah Guthrie asked Sarah about the statements she made after Track’s arrest that basically laid the PTSD blame at President Obama’s feet. Sarah was immediately and obviously annoyed by the question and, in her typical rambling way, accused the Today Show of not keeping a promise to keep the questioning strictly political.
Sarah said this while looking completely shocked that a reporter would ask her a riveting question:
‘I never said that…You guys brought me here to talk about Iowa politics and the caucus tonight,” Palin fumed, “not to talk about my kids. That was a promise. As things go in the world of media, you don’t always keep your promises, evidently.’
Palin insisted that in no way did her statement about President Obama, the troops, and PTSD mean that she believed the fault laid with the president. The raving lunatic said this:
‘What I have blamed President Obama in doing, though, is this level of disrespect for the United States military that has made manifest in cutting budgets, in not trying to beef it up and let our military do the job they’re trained to do, and in specific issues we’re talking about that are so hot today, specifically, let’s get in there and utterly destroy ISIS.’
Almost ignoring the trail of lies that Palin was walking, Lauer asked Palin, “Do you regret the comment on that day of the endorsement?” To which Palin responded, “What did I say that is offensive?” Hmm, let me think..Perhaps it was you using the President of the United States as a scapegoat for your child’s lack of morals and compassion? Palin continued:
‘I don’t regret any comment that I made because I didn’t lay PTSD at the foot of the president. If you have a specific quote, it allows the media to be credible, if you would tell me what you’re talking about.’
Finally, Lauer let it be known to the audience and Palin that, “there were no specific promises made about (the) content of the interview; only this would be your first interview since you endorsed Donald Trump.”
Sarah, visibly embarrassed, tried to carry on…but she sank hard, as usual.
