Ding dong, the witch is dead! Or at least out of the presidential race, which is also good news. In case you missed it, Carly Fiorina officially suspended her presidential campaign yesterday. After announcing that she is officially out of the race, Planned Parenthood tweeted at Fiorina and let her know exactly what they think about her, reports Addicting Info.
Knowing all the terrible, untrue things Fiorina has said about the organization, it isn’t surprising that their feelings towards her are less than favorable. No one would have blamed Planned Parenthood for tweeting Carly Fiorina a middle finger and a “F*** you,” but Planned Parenthood kept things classy and simply tweeted, “Farewell to @CarlyFiorina. It turns out you can’t flat-out lie to the American people about Planned Parenthood.”

Carly Fiorina certainly established herself as an enemy of Planned Parenthood during her campaign by claiming that the organization, which provides a variety of affordable healthcare services to women, harvests body parts from aborted fetuses. Apparently she had seen footage proving that it happened, but she was conveniently unable to share that footage with anyone else because it was heavily edited and doesn’t actually exist.
In her speech about suspending her campaign, Fiorina proved that she is delusional as ever with this statement:
‘While I suspend my candidacy today, I will continue to travel this country and fight for those Americans who refuse to settle for the way things are and a status quo that no longer works for them.’
She obviously thinks she did a lot more for the American people than convince a right-wing terrorist to commit a mass shooting of a Colorado Planned Parenthood building. Based on the 1.9 percent of the vote she received in Iowa and the less than 5 percent she received in New Hampshire, it doesn’t seem like too many Americans will be interested in having Fiorina fight for them.
While having Carly Fiorina out of the running is definitely a good thing, we must remember that there are plenty of other candidates whose messages will provide fodder for anti-abortion extremists. We must continue to fight for women to have control over their own bodies, and the candidates who are most likely to help us win that fight sit on the blue side of the fence.
