On Thursday, South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham joked that a person could kill Sen. Ted Cruz and not be convicted of the murder.
He said the “most dishonest person in America is a woman and she’s about to be president.” “How could that be,? he asked, before adding that it’s because “my party’s has gone “batshit crazy.”
True, but Graham is part of the reason.
“A good Republican would defend Ted Cruz,” he said, adding, “that’s not gonna happen.”
“If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you,” the former presidential candidate continued to say at the Washington Press Club Foundation’s 72nd Congressional Dinner, according to CNN.
Graham went on to mock the rest of the contenders for the GOP nomination. He noted “moderate” Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s recent comments about “women leaving their kitchens,” then went on to mention “nice guy” former neurosurgeon Ben Carson having “tried to kill his cousin,” and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio shifting his positions.
“How did I lose to these guys?” Graham asked.
Graham really doesn’t like Donald Trump so he took a more serious turn when it came to the bombastic hotel magnate.
“I don’t think he understands what makes America great,” he said.
“Our party and our country is going to have to up its game. You’re going to have to ask him harder questions,” Graham told the reporters in the room. “And I don’t mean to turn a funny thing into a serious thing.”
Pelosi approached Graham at the end of the speech to hand him Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again” baseball hat.
Graham accepted the hat and placed it on his head, then reminded the attendees of his failed campaign and his endorsement of former Florida Gov. Jeb! Bush’s failed campaign, and said, “I endorse Donald Trump and hope that Graham magic still exists.”

But back to that murder fantasy. It’s probably not a good idea since there are some people who believe Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer. The Zodiac Killer has never been caught. He could be anyone. Even a Texas Senator. We’re just saying.
