Well in all honesty, we already knew Donald Trump supporters were absolutely bonkers, but this “social experiment” just brought things to an entirely new level.
The team over at SoFlo decided to embark on some kind of satirical social experiment, or prank, and decided to ask Trump fans what they thought of certain quotes and whether or not they agreed with them or not. But here’s the thing – the quotes that were read to them were actually ones once stated by Adolph Hitler, and not Donald Trump like they were told. Of course they had no idea, and many of the people blindly supported what they thought were Trump’s claims, pretty much no matter how truly provocative and blatantly racist they were.
The video starts with the interviewer taking to the streets of Los Angeles, holding up a Trump pamphlet, but with all the quotes replaced with ones once said by Hitler.
He tells the supporters he wants to see what they think about what Trump has been saying, so he begins by selecting a quote to read from the pamphlet. The first quote:
Anyone who sees and paints a sky green and fields blue ought to be sterilized.
When the interviewer asks the fan what his thoughts are on the quote, he responding by saying:
Well there’s a lot of people that should be sterilized according to Donald Trump, so, sure.
Wait, what?! Is he serious? This is extremely frightening to hear, especially straight from the mouth of someone who believes that is any way okay.
The interviewer goes on to talk to another woman, who needs him to repeat the quote to her, which may be a clear indication of the level of intellect of most Trump supporters.
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think.
One supporter responded by saying:
You look at the Democratic party and they prove that, that’s why I’m voting for Trump.
Another went on to say:
He’s a smart man, I mean he’s got the world by the balls right now. He has a lot of money, he’s very influential because of his money, and what he’s done, with you know, his empire.
Oh… so because he has a lot of money he’s suddenly God-like? And suddenly eligible to become President?! Really?! If that were the case, people like the Kardashians would be running. And there goes any and all logic, out the window…
The more economic difficulties increase, the more immigration will be seen as a burden.
One supporter responds, claiming:
Yeah, I mean, as soon as our economic system starts improving, we don’t have to worry about the immigrants anymore. They’ll go away.
And again, I really don’t think these people have even the slightest concept of the definition of the word logic.
Great liars are also great magicians.
How can you even agree with this quote without sounding like a moron? (Hint: you can’t.)
Wow. Well, uh, I think that he’s gonna lie in anyway, probably to support the country, to keep the country going – they’ll be good lies, you know?
And when asked if they support everything in the pamphlet, Trump supporters said things like:
Of course, I’m a Trump fan!
I support him.
Finally, at the end of the video they’re told the quotes are in fact by Hitler, and not their beloved Trump. Which of course completely shocks them and they all claim not to be Hitler supporters! And that’s hilarious, because moments prior they agreed with the quotes read to them when they thought they were from the mouth of Donald J. Trump.
One Trump supporter even tried support HITLER! He said:
Hitler actually did good things. He created the Volkswagen.
So there you have it. Trump supporters are in fact crazy, and don’t in fact have much logic to back up their blind support of the wealthy business mogul gone politician.
Be afraid. Be very, very afraid America.
