It doesn’t take someone with an advanced degree to realize that GOP front-runner Donald Trump is a jerk who seems to delight in insulting and belittling anyone who dares to disagree with him or call him out for his racist rhetoric. As a matter of fact, a third grader can see it from miles away. And one in North Carolina has decided to do something about it.
Jackson Wheeless is a student at Millis Road Elementary in Jamestown, North Carolina. As part of a class project, Jackson has been reading the newspaper and following current events. He’s been reading a great deal in recent weeks about Trump, and he couldn’t help but be struck by just how rude the candidate is, so he decided to write a letter to Trump.
In the letter, Wheeless tells Trump:
‘I have seen several articles about you and have seen you on the television. I think you have been very rude to many people.
‘How would you feel if people said some of these terrible things about you that I have heard you say about them?’
Jackson also wonders how Trump would feel if his young child or grandchildren heard some of the hateful things he’s said:
‘I would like to know if you would want your young children or grandchildren hearing the things you say about people. Do you ever feel sorry about the things you say? Do you ever feel sorry about the things that you say that are hurtful to others? I have never heard you apologize.’
This amazing young man also instructs Trump that the President is “supposed to be our leader,” adding:
‘You should be someone that we can learn from and hope to grow up to be like. I do not think you are doing a very good job of this.’
Perhaps most importantly, this 8-year-old child reminds the always arrogant GOP candidate that children are the future and he’s setting a very bad example for them:
‘We may not be able to vote but we are the future. I think it’s important to have a kind, honest, caring person as our leader to look up to and respect.’
