In case you didn’t already know, Bernie Sanders is an anti-billionaire force to be reckoned with. He has taken the country by storm, despite being a very active in the senate for decades, yet unknown for the most part up until now. He has started a revolution made up of people of all ages, but his pull with the youth of America is profoundly higher than that of his political counterparts.
Sanders was speaking to an audience at a rally in Evansville, Indiana when he said this:
“I think that when the top one-tenth of 1 percent — one-tenth of 1 percent — now owns almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 percent, we got some other choices that we can make. That choice is to tell the billionaire class..”
That is when one of his supporters shouted from the crowd, “F*CK OFF!”
Bernie didn’t react by shaming the man for voicing his frustrations, instead, he agreed with the man that that is exactly what Americans should be telling billionaires, even if he would have used different terminology to voice his own. He is a politician for the people, and it is the people he is concerned about.
Yesterday, Bernie proved once again why it is that young people are drawn to him. He doesn’t play games to ensure the establishment is happy with him, and he doesn’t mix words when addressing the issues that have Americans up in arms. It seems the nation is at a pivotal point, and a leader like Donald Trump, or even Hillary Clinton would only be detrimental to the sanity of civilians.
