David Letterman On USO Tour Suggests Third Term For President Obama, The Troops Reaction Will Blow You Away (VIDEO)

On Thursday evening, President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden attended a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the United Service Organizations at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Former host of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart, made a guest appearance alongside comedic legend and former Late Night host, David Letterman.

Stewart, who had the honor of introducing Vice President Biden, opened with a zinger in regards to the rise of Donald Trump, saying:

‘He’ll say whatever he kind of thinks of, whatever comes to his mind, sort of impulsive. Sometimes, you might think to yourself, ‘That sounds crazy,’ or ‘Man, that is crazy.’ And who would have thought that now, that gets you the Republican nomination.’

He went on to add:

‘Don’t worry, Trump’s gonna keep you busy when he’s commander-in-chief. You’re going to have to repaint all the planes with TRUMP in big gold letters.’

Following Stewart, Letterman took to the stage to make a remark that was well received by the crowd. He claimed that for a moment, he thought President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were in fact running for a third term — a sentiment a lot of attendees probably wished were true.

Letterman, who is now retired, referenced his age and made this remark:

‘I don’t know, sometimes the mind plays tricks on a person, especially when you get to be my age. I was listening to the president speak. I was listening to the vice president speak. And, for a split second, my mind said to me, ‘oh, that’s nice, they’re running again.’ ‘

The crowd definitely approved of that idea, as they broke out in unmistakable cheers and laughter, applauding Letterman for the comment.

Although no president is perfect, Obama has proven it’s possible to come pretty close. Despite what critics say, Obama has done a remarkable job during his two term presidency. Although he can’t run again, it’s clear that the USO certainly supports the idea, provided it were legally possible.
