Sarah Palin was in San Diego campaigning for Donald Trump on Friday when she let loose on one of the most incoherent speeches she has ever given, and that is saying a lot. The Vice Presidential runner-up has had many instances of sheer insanity on camera, many of which have made Americans and foreigners alike wonder if Palin may have a serious substance abuse problem.
Like many of the country’s ignorant, Sarah Palin still thinks it was okay to drop an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan after Pearl Harbor, regardless of the hundreds of thousands of deaths, or the lasting effects of radiation. Also, like her fellow conservatives, Palin thinks that President Obama was wrong for apologizing to Hiroshima for the decision to drop the bombs after the attack that killed 2,403 Americans; a decision that the citizens of Japan had nothing to do with.
Palin claimed that Obama’s apology was a huge “diss” to American veterans who risked their lives to deliver the bomb over Hiroshima, and the military members killed in the Pearl Harbor attack itself. It doesn’t seem to occur to Palin that the troops were just following orders, as usual, and that the real diss was to the Roosevelt administration, who actually gave the order.
Palin said that President Obama believes:
“the greatest generation was perpetuating the evil of World War II. Our commander in chief suggesting – actually, lying in suggestions – to the world that we were wrong to prove that we would eradicate evil in World War II. You mess with our freedom, we’ll put a boot in your ass. It’s the American way.”
That is when the crowd began to chant “USA, USA, USA.” The stupid was palpable as Palin told the crowd that Donald Trump “knows how to win.” That’s when the real stupid began. Palin addressed the remark President Obama made about Trump “rattling” world leaders:
“Rattled, are they now? Well, maybe it’s time that things get rattlin.’ You know that tent that the GOP operatives have at least claimed for so long now that they really wanted to enlarge? They’re really freaked out now that we all came in and demolished their tight-knit tent.”
Palin then points over to the press area where journalists are reporting on the rally, and addressed “the sheep in the media” directly:
“Their head is still a-spinnin’,” she said. “Do you know how thoroughly distrusted you are, mainstream media? … He is now we the people’s nominee, so suck it up, cupcake!”
