A man from Chachoengsao, Thailand woke up last Wednesday to a rather unpleasant greeting from a python, according to reports from Khaosod English.
Atthaporn Boonmakchuay was about to get down to his regular morning business, when he squatted over his toilet and, to his surprise, was attacked by a python who slithered out of the toilet and clamped onto his penis.
Chachoengsao is a province east of Bangkok, where Atthaporn lives with his wife Sawittree Shooyoung. Sawittree was alarmed when heard screams from the bathroom, and ran frantically to her husband’s aid. Upon entering the bathroom, she found him fighting off an approximately 4-meter long python, attempting to free the head of his penis from its jaws.
Sawittree handed her husband a rope, which he used to tie the snake to the door.
The vicious attack left Atthaporn brutally injured and resulted in him passing out due to a substantial amount of blood loss.
After being transported to a hospital, the 38-year-old spoke with a reporter from Khaosod English about the frightening attack. From his hospital bed after he’d regained consciousness, Atthaporn described the details of the horrific event and just what he did to fight off the beast.
According to reports, Atthaporn is now in stable condition. He explained his method of freeing himself from the serpent, noting that he attempted to pry its jaws loose rather than pulling its body off and risk further damage to his penis.
Since the incident occurred, workers have removed the toilet and the python, forcefully using a hammer to free its body from the confines of the toilet. Authorities reported that the python will be set free, and they believe it entered the toilet through a pipe.
Imagine that. Waking up to tend to your early morning business and, out of nowhere (well, your toilet), pops a ferocious python ready to chew off the entirety of your penis. Now THAT is one way we wouldn’t want to wake up.
