During a press conference on Tuesday, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton took the opportunity to praise President Obama for his actions in combatting terrorist threats, while simultaneously questioning if presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump would ever be able to come close to reaching Obama’s level of success.

‘Actions speak louder than words. Obama’s been doing one hell of a job, I think, basically trying to kill those bastards before they kill us. So, let’s see what Mr. Trump does in terms of matching actions to rhetoric.’

Trump has sparked a lot of outrage lately, with many politicians, journalists, and TV personalities speaking out against his comments following the mass shooting in Orlando.

The business mogul took to Twitter to congratulate himself for being right about terrorism, directly following Sunday’s attack at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

On Monday night, “Late Night” host Seth Meyers slammed Trump for congratulating himself just hours after such a horrific tragedy:

‘Appreciate the congrats? I don’t know who’s been congratulating Donald Trump, but you may want to redirect your congratulations to the first responders or those waiting in line to give blood.’

The real estate tycoon later went on to accuse Obama of perpetuating the violence, calling him out for refusing to utter the words “radical Islamic terrorism.”

Bratton went on to discuss the outrageous number of mass shootings that occur every day in this country, saying:

‘We have a mass shooting every day in the United States involving four or more victims. Every day in the United States, a mass shooting. It’s become almost a fact of life here.’

On Tuesday morning, Bratton sat down for an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” where he really took the opportunity to slam the GOP and its presumptive nominee. When asked about his opinion regarding the 54 members of the Senate who voted against a bill that would’ve prohibited anyone on the terror watch list from purchasing a gun, Bratton said:

‘Shame on them. Shame on them.’

He continued, calling out the members of the U.S. Senate who voted against the bill, saying:

‘They prostitute themselves in front of the NRA. They put the interest of their own political careers and that of the NRA ahead of the American people.’
