Members of the GOP held a special committee meeting today, to discuss the FBI’s decision not to indict Hillary Clinton with breaking confidentiality laws during her work as Secretary of State.
Throughout the event, members taking part proved time and again that they were gathered for nothing more than to attempt to tarnish the reputation of the Democratic frontrunner for the White House.
FBI director Comey was questioned relentlessly, as one Republican after the next drew from any knowledge source they could to try and disprove Comey’s assertion that Hillary Clinton is not worthy of criminal indictment.

When Will Hurd (R-TX) had his turn to speak, he asked a question so stupid, that he left Comey wide open for insult. Hurd asked:
“Director Comey, I’m not a lawyer, so I may misstate this, is there such a thing as a ‘case of first impression’ and why was this not possibly one of those?”
Comey, however, remained calm and cool, and explained exactly why Hurd’s question was just flat out silly. Comey killed it when he responded with:
“There is such a thing, which just means the first time you do something. The reason this isn’t one of those is, that’s just not fair. That would be treating somebody differently because of their celebrity status or because of some other factor that doesn’t matter. We have to treat people, the bedrock of our system of justice, we have to treat people fairly. We treat them the same based on their conduct.”
