President Obama may appear mild-mannered, but when a Republican racist accused him of being anti-cop, he smacked the guy down – hard. The president can use words like a sword sharp enough to slice a man in half.
The Daily Banter reports that Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick decided it was a good idea to trip up the president by asking him in a town hall meeting why he can’t stop being so anti-cop. Now, Patrick is well aware that President Obama speaks often about how much he loves and respects police for the hard, dangerous work they do. But why let facts get in the way of blatant racism?
This is a video of their dueling words, where Patrick was obviously outclassed. The problem is that the president can’t win with these jerks. It really doesn’t matter what he says or how often he says he supports the police.
Clearly, Patrick was lying when he claimed the president said things are “much worse” between the “black community” and police. More importantly, here is how President Obama responded:
‘I HAVE BEEN UNEQUIVOCAL IN CONDEMNING ANY RHETORIC DIRECTED AT POLICE OFFICERS. SO I THINK YOU WILL NOT FIND ANY MESSAGE THAT DID NOT INCLUDE A VERY STRONG SUPPORT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT.’
‘IN ALL MY UTTERANCES, DATING BACK TO FERGUSONLAW ENFORCEMENT. BECAUSE I RELY ON LAW ENFORCEMENT TO PROTECT ME AND MY FAMILY. JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE DOES. SO I APPRECIATE THE SENTIMENT, BUT I THINK IT HAS ALREADY BEEN EXPRESSED. BUT I’LL BE HAPPY TO SEND IT TO YOU IN CASE YOU MISSED IT.’
Translation: You fool! I have been pro-police in everything I’ve said, stronger than anyone else in that support, and you know it. Remember Ferguson? In that emergency, I stood firmly behind the police. Police take care of and protect all of us, including my loved ones.
I do NOT appreciate what you are implying. If you were too dense to understand what I said, I’ll prove it. I’ll send my pro-cop message to you, because you clearly are not smart enough to figure it out yourself.
I know you are a racist, a blockhead, and an ass.
All these Republican jokers want to hear is that President Obama is absolutely fine with cops killing black citizens. Otherwise, the president might as well be shouting down an empty well.
Check out the video below to hear what the president really said in his remarks during a formal conversation of community policing and criminal justice.
