You may remember Scott Baio from his role as Chachi Arcola on the sitcom “Happy Days” and its spin-off “Joanie Loves Chachi.”

Despite his less-than-stellar acting career, Baio has now turned to politics and has openly stated his support for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

But let’s back up for a second. You may be wondering how some random failed actor is suddenly relevant.

Well, it all started in an interview with Fox News that took place just after the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. When Baio was asked if he thought President Obama was reluctant to utter the phrase “Islamic terror,” he responded, saying:

‘Very reluctant? He’s absolutely reluctant. I can’t tell, Lester, whether he’s dumb, a Muslim, or he’s a Muslim sympathizer. And I don’t think he’s dumb.’

He went on to blame the President for the tragic shootings that have taken place across the country, saying:

‘To allow this to keep happening, listen, these Muslims terrorists, radical Islamic terrorists are saying they’re going to kill us, they’re saying they’re going to kill us, and then they kill us, and it’s still not enough for this President and Hillary Clinton to get serious and do something about this. Donald Trump is the only guy, Lester, that wants to handle it and tackle it head on.’

Spewing what can only be described as utter nonsense, he continued:

‘I don’t know what the end game is. Is it to totally eliminate the United States as it was created and founded and the way it is now? So I am baffled by the lack of anything happening because it seems to me that, President Obama — and Hillary Clinton too — the only time they get angry is at Republicans, and when they get passionate it’s about gun control. They’re never angry at terrorists.’

Just when you thought you’d heard more than enough, it gets even better. As soon as people heard about his comments, anonymous Twitter users began calling Baio out for his attacks on President Obama and other liberals. The funniest part? When he was served with a taste of his own medicine, Baio proved he couldn’t handle it. He even went so far as threatening to sue one Twitter user for defamation:

Apparently, it’s not defamation to call President Obama a Muslim who wants to eliminate America, but as soon as someone accuses Baio of being a pedophile, they’re most definitely getting sued.

Ah, the logic of a Trump supporter.
