With the Republican National Convention now over and many Americans traveling back home reiterating Donald Trump’s speech and spreading the news that he gained the Republican nomination, America can only hope the Democrats bring it home this fall. Narcissistic Trump has yet again tried making himself out to be a decent human being that cares about all of America, while only speaking to the white males in the room.

With his daughter Ivanka speaking for him, Trump tried to reach out to women and minorities across the nation with empty promises and false hopes. Topics revolving around women, child care, minorities, immigration, and the LGBT community, gave depth to Trumps speech, though he only addressed white males. His inability to see how this is problematic, gives blatant evidence that Trump is only for himself and has a bias towards those that resemble himself.

Think Progress analyzed an ABC/Washington News poll and found the poll shows,

‘Trump with a huge 60 percent to 26 percent advantage among that demographic.’

Though white males only make up 31 percent of the population, and hold a baffling 80 percent of members of congress, Trump speaks to them in hopes they will be moronic enough to believe his lies and find him relatable.

Think Progress quotes Representative Sean Duffy explaining Trumps lean towards white males by saying,

‘There’s a viewpoint that says, “I can fight for minorities, and I can fight for women,” and if you get that, you make up a vast majority of the voting block and you win. And white males have been left aside a little bit in the politics of who speaks to them’

This statement shows the complete ignorance in politics and rather than speaking to the nation as a whole, they single out specific groups and speak mainly to them. Donald Trump directly speaks to a measly 31 percent of the population yet still expects to win the general election as white male conservatives across the nation gain a small ego boost.
