new-one BREAKING: Another MASSIVE Trump Failure As Taj Mahal To Go OUT OF BUSINESS, Closing Labor Day Donald Trump Top Stories

Things just keep going downhill for Donald Trump. His casino and hotel resort, Trump Taj Mahal, will finally be closing down.

The owners of the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City say they will shut it down after Labor Day weekend, according to a statement from Tony Rodio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tropicana Entertainment.

More than a 1,000 housekeepers, cooks, cocktail servers, bartenders, bellmen, and other employees working at the Taj Mahal have been on strike since July 1st.

Rodio said in the statement, which was released on Wednesday:

‘Currently the Taj is losing multi-millions a month, and now with this strike we see no path to profitability,’

‘Unfortunately, we’ve reached the point where we have will to have to close the Taj after Labor Day weekend and intend to send WARN notices to before this weekend.’

Rodio stated that the ongoing Unite Here Local 54 strike played a significant role in helping him make his decision.

The strike by Local 54 of the Unite-HERE union began July 1. On Thursday, it will have lasted 35 days, surpassing the 34-day strike the union staged against seven casinos in 2004.

Local 54 President Bob McDevitt posted a statement on the Trump Taj Mahal web page shaming the subsidized owner, Carl Icahn, for taking the strike personally.

‘For a few million bucks he could have had labor peace and a content workforce, but instead he’d rather slam the door shut on these long-term workers just to punish them and attempt to break their strike.’

‘There was no element of trying to reach an agreement here on Icahn’s part; it was always “my way or the highway” from the beginning with Icahn. It is the epitome of the playground bully, who picks up his ball and announces he is going home because nobody else would do it his way. It is truly a shame that such an unscrupulous person has control of billions of dollars.’

Icahn became the owner of Taj Mahal in 2004 after taking on the casino’s mounting debt caused by Donald Trump. Icahn promised to invest 100 million dollars, but he backed off his pledge.

All the union wanted was their health insurance and pension benefits restored. A federal judge agreed last October that, as part of the casino’s bankruptcy process, the union owners could stop making healthcare and pension payments to workers.

Donald Trump isn’t very frugal with his money. He invested in excess of $1 billion to build the Trump Taj Mahal Casino and Hotel Resort with elegant draperies, gold trimmings and flashing lights. It’s a pity that no one else will be able step foot in the place after Labor Day weekend.

Clearly, Donald Trump won’t be able to bring his sinking hotel out of debt, so how would he ever attempt to bring our nation out of a debt that is surpassing 18.6 trillion dollars? By kicking out Muslims and promoting segregation and terrorism? We need a leader with a solid foundation and established credibility that we can trust. Donald Trump continues to show us that he doesn’t have what it takes to run the nation.
