Elizabeth Warren Fact Checks Donald Trump’s Economic Speech In Real Time, CRUSHES Him!

For the last several months, Donald Trump and Senator Elizabeth Warren have been engaged in an intense Twitter battle. Although Trump has not been able do more than call Warren “goofy,” Warren has time and time again outdone The Donald with her quick wit and knowledge.

Warren bested Trump again on Monday when she broke down the speech he gave in Detroit, Michigan outlining his economic plan. Warren first started by criticizing Trump’s speech as a whole, saying that it was written by “rich corporate insider advisors.”

Then she moved on to dissect some of the worst parts of the speech, starting with Trump’s promise to “cut regulations massively.”

She then went on to remind the Republican nominee that a country cannot successfully be run by pretending that it is a business.

Trump’s plans to cut taxes have come under fire before, but the speech he gave today was a reminder of just how much less Trump wants the rich to have to pay.

Warren’s next topic was Trump’s childcare plan, which would allow parents to fully deduct the average childcare costs from their taxes.

It’s clear that Trump is trying to appear more family friendly with this promise, and some people are buying it. However, experts have found that this plan would not be very beneficial to the working poor. Victoria Budson, executive director of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, said that the tax break is structured in a way that would likely not allow low income families to take advantage of it.

In her final two tweets, Warren summed up the problem with Trump’s plan, as well as with a Trump presidency in general.

Elizabeth Warren has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president and has made it clear that she will do whatever it takes to keep Trump out of the White House. In late July, Warren spoke at a Clinton rally and told the crowd that Trump will never become president. She explained that Clinton will be the next president because “she knows what it takes to beat a thin-skinned bully who is driven by greed and hate.”

Trump has not yet responded to Warren’s criticism of his economic plan. However, knowing the Republican nominee, it is only a matter of time before he fires back at her with another unimaginative nickname.
