Roger Stone is at it again, and he is as desperate as ever.
Just in case you aren’t familiar, Stone is one of Trump’s most factually unstable backers, to put it softly. The man has been banned from multiple major news networks because of his wild and dangerous views, views which he has expressed over a decades-long career.
And it’s not just dangerous viewpoints. As a quick Google search reveals, Stone has even been implicated in having made physical threats via voicemail to the father of former New York governor Eliot Spitzer. Spitzer’s father was 83-years-old when the threats were made.
This time around, Stone published an article on The Hill. His article is a thinly veiled and desperate attempt to incite anti-Clinton hatred due to the fact that his candidate, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, is looking at almost certain defeat in November.
And this hatred is no light matter. Trump has called for Clinton’s assassination should she be elected — and she almost certainly will be.
What Stone suggests is that the election is already rigged against Trump.
Stone isn’t simply talking about the odds being stacked against the GOP nominee, either. No, what he suggests is that there is some sort of conspiracy at work getting ready to erase Trump’s votes from the final tally come election night.
He lays this conspiracy at the feet of none other than — you guessed it — Hillary Clinton, playing right into Trump’s violent call for her murder.
‘A recent study by Stanford University proved that Hillary Clinton’s campaign rigged the system to steal the nomination from Bernie Sanders. What was done to Bernie Sanders in Wisconsin is stunning. Why would the Clintons not cheat again?’
That is pure nonsense. Bernie Sanders won the Wisconsin Democratic primary by more than 13 percent — a dramatic margin.
Stone’s suggestion that “something happened” in Wisconsin that had Hillary Clinton behind it, and that, subsequently, Clinton is getting ready to pull off something similar against Trump in November, is simply ridiculous. The claim has no basis in fact whatsoever.
Sure, in the original article, Stone links to a couple of sources. However, trying to follow the one that explains whatever on earth he thinks happened in Wisconsin leads absolutely nowhere.
Stone was far from finished, however, when he suggested that something suspicious occurred in Wisconsin. He explained exactly how his twisted mind thinks the election fraud is going to happen.
According to Stone, the fraud is already underway through fraudulent polling. He spoke of “the” Reuters poll as an example. Does he not know that Reuters publishes polls consistently throughout the months leading up to the election?
He also says that Trump voters are going to have their votes tampered with by Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel since Emanuel supports Clinton. In the Trump camp’s book, if one supports Clinton, then that person must be a crook.
