Photoshop is a grand invention, especially when it inspires hilarity like this!
President Obama, unlike the current GOP presidential nominee, is not a huge fan of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Notably, Obama once said of Russia’s political leader:
‘You know, I don’t want to psychoanalyze Mr. Putin. I will say that he has a foot very much in the Soviet past. That’s how he came of age […] So I think he looks at problems through this Cold War lens, and, as a consequence, I think he’s missed some opportunities for Russia to diversify its economy, to strengthen its relationship with its neighbors, to represent something different than the old Soviet-style aggression.’
Putin is not much a fan of President Obama, either, but shrugs off the importance of having a good relationship with the president of the United States. When asked about their relationship in 2013, Putin said:
‘President Obama hasn’t been elected by the American people in order to be pleasant to Russia. And your humble servant hasn’t been elected by the people of Russia to be pleasant to someone, either.’
The two world leaders met during the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, China, to discuss ending the violence in Syria and the Ukraine. Secretary of State John Kerry and Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, had been previously unable to reach an agreement on a ceasefire.

Obama says the discussion between the two presidents was “productive,” but the two didn’t appear friendly. In fact, one photographer caught a moment between the two that seemed to be fairly representative of their feelings for one another.
The moment became fodder for internet users who turned the “death stare” into a Photoshop opportunity.
Some Twitter users simply retweeted the photo but with their own commentary and captions added.
What this picture doesn’t capture is that Putin was actually a couple inches taller before Obama’s death stare: pic.twitter.com/HT9N2L0087

One thing’s for sure, no one who actually admires Vladimir Putin should be president of a democratic country with a belief in human rights. That includes Donald Trump.
