Bill Maher: What The Fu*k Does It Take For Voters To Find Their Humanity & Stop Donald Trump

During a discussion amongst a panel on HBO’s Real Time, Bill Maher spoke with writers Andrew Sullivan, Rebecca Traister and former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerry, wondering exactly what alleged unregistered sex offender Donald Trump had to do before Republican voters would come to their senses and refuse to vote for him.

Maher posed the question to the panel: The GOP can get rid of Donald Trump, but can they get rid of Trumpism? Traister pointed out that the worst of Trump has been around the Republican party for quite some time now. She said:

‘The fact is, Republican voters who knew they were going to be facing Hillary Clinton, who hate Barack Obama, who object to the people who vote for Democrats, people of color and women, selected a candidate who embodies the racism and sexism that are the very forces that kept people of color and women disenfranchised for centuries and away from the White House until now. They picked him.’

President Barack Obama said in a speech on Friday that Republicans are responsible for feeding their supporters lies about him over the years. They have said that he was the anti-Christ and that the president was not born in the United States. Obama said of the real estate mogul:

‘Donald Trump, as he is prone to do, He didn’t build the building himself, he just slapped his name on it and took credit for it.’

Looking at an electoral map, Maher names off several deep red states in which there is no possible way the Republican candidate could lose saying the he could “shoot somebody in the middle of 5th Avenue and they wouldn’t leave me.”

Trying to wrap his head around the fact that no matter what Trump does, die-hard Republicans will still vote for this monster, he asked:

‘I know they’re Republican mostly, but they’re human, right? These are human beings. What the f*ck does it take, in this country, to have being a human being supersede being Republican?’

Seriously though, what the hell does it take for Republicans to finally come to humanity and resist voting for the alleged unregistered sex offender? He has already proven, in way too many ways, that he is unfit to be the president of the United States.
