As it turns out, the “law and order candidate” does absolutely nothing to vet the people he employs within his campaign. Trump’s Georgia campaign director, Brandon Phillips, has just been exposed as a violent psychotic with an insane rap sheet that includes inflicting bodily harm on another.
In 2008, Phillips plead guilty to criminal trespassing after an insane event that ended with him smashing a woman’s laptop, slashing a man’s tires and causing “cuts and bruises to the head and torso” of that same man. Phillips, of course, plead guilty to the lesser charge of trespassing. He was sentenced to 36 months probation and ordered to pay a $1500 fine. Documents show that Phillips applied for, and was granted, an early release from probation just one year later.
This wasn’t even the first time that Phillips was arrested for violent crimes. Earlier that year, he was involved in an altercation with his neighbor that involved a gun. Phillips was charged with simple assault and battery, but that case was dropped after Phillips completed a diversion class before the case went to court.
When the story broke today, Phillips immediately handed in his resignation to the campaign and began distancing himself from Trump. This should come as no surprise to anyone who has been keeping up with Trump’s antics throughout the past year. He is the most volatile, racist, ignorant, and infantile presidential candidate America has ever seen. It comes as no surprise that he doesn’t screen his inner circle.
