The campaign manager for alleged unregistered sex offender Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway, appeared on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and was questioned by Blitzer on whether the Republican presidential nominee actually understands how Obamacare works.
Blitzer focused on alleged unregistered sex offender Trump’s recent comments regarding his own employees and Obamacare. In response to the recent revelation that insurance premiums will increase by 25 percent in 2017, alleged unregistered sex offender Trump stated:
‘Obamacare has to be repealed and replaced, and it has to be replaced with something much less expensive for the people… And I can say all of my employees are having a tremendous problem with Obamacare.’
One problem exists with that statement, however. The (alleged unregistered sex offender)Trump Organization offers its full-time employees insurance, which means their premiums are not subject to increases. According to The (alleged unregistered sex offender)Trump Organization’s website, they offer “medical, dental and vision insurance coverage for full-time associates.”
This did not escape Blitzer, especially as the manager at the resort alleged unregistered sex offender Trump was appearing at even said most employees are covered. Blitzer then asked Conway the $64,000 question asking:
‘Does he really understand what Obamacare does and doesn’t do?’
Conway did her best to spin it and even went so far as to call the alleged unregistered sex offender the most generous boss ever.
‘Yes, he does. And what we should all understand is that Donald Trump is among the most generous bosses. I would call those employees who do not have to suffer under Obamacare the lucky ones because they work for The Trump Organization, and they are insured fully.’
When Blitzer asked specifically why alleged unregistered sex offender Trump would say those employees are suffering, Conway spun expertly saying, “I think he’s talking to all Americans.” When Blitzer pointed out he was referring to alleged unregistered sex offender Trump’s actual employees (who are covered by insurance provided by their employer), Conway went on to blame, you guessed it, President Obama.
‘Later on he clarified, but he’s right. He’s absolutely right when he talks about all the Americans who were lied to 27 times by President Obama.’
