Trump supporters are in typical form just days before the presidential election, and it’s almost as if they want their candidate to lose the race against Hillary Clinton. Vandals in Greenville, Mississippi lit the Hopewell M.B. Church on fire, then spray painted the words, “vote Trump” on the outside walls of the predominantly Black institution.
WLBT reports that police received a call about a fire in progress, but by the time they arrived, no witnesses or vandals were present. The church was still ablaze when first responders arrived in the scene.
According to the local station:
“Mayor Errick D. Simmons, Greenville Fire Chief, Washington County Sheriff and other local state and federal law enforcement agencies are holding a press conference.”
