With six days until Election Day, and such a tight race, any bombshell could hit and change the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. As WikiLeaks dumps emails daily, one Yahoo News reporter came across footage of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump that directly conflicts with Trump’s initial denial of ties to a crooked mobster.
Earlier this year, Trump was asked about his relationship with LiButti and responded saying, “During the years I very successfully ran the casino business, I knew many high rollers. I assume Mr. LiButti was one of them, but I don’t recognize the name.” However, LiButti’s daughter, Edith Creamer, spoke with Yahoo News and gave them a different tale.
‘He’s a liar. Of course he knew him. I flew in the [Trump] helicopter with [Trump’s then wife] Ivana and the kids. My dad flew it up and down [to Atlantic City]. My 35th birthday party was at the Plaza and Donald was there. After the party, we went on his boat, his big yacht. I like Trump, but it pisses me off that he denies knowing my father. That hurts me.’
Keeping all that in mind, the same reporter has discovered a video that basically proves Trump is a liar in regards of knowing LiButti. Yahoo News described the video:
‘In the video, LiButti can be seen alongside Trump as the real estate mogul greets the ring announcer, sportscaster Bob Uecker, and later as Trump kisses on the cheek special guest Vanna White. LiButti can also be seen sitting throughout the 3 1/2-hour event in a front-row seat next to Trump and his then wife, Ivana.’
The video was discovered in the WWE online archives. David Cay Johnston, who interviewed LiButti in the ’90s, confirmed it was the mobster.
‘That’s definitely Bob LiButti standing right next to Donald Trump… It’s at an event that Bob described to me a quarter century ago when I spent an afternoon in his Saddle River home. The “WRESTLEMANIA” event is just one of many times that Trump was close to Bob, who was the biggest loser at Trump casinos and therefore Trump’s most important customer.’
LiButti is known for his ties to infamous mob boss, John Gotti. Also, Trump’s own casino was fined $650,000 in 1991 for having business affairs with LiButti.
The Trump camp did comment on the video with campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks writing, “This was obviously a massive event, which took place decades ago. Mr. Trump attended many similar events with thousands of people during this time period.”
