“Wow, I just thought you guys were Nazis or something,” a copper-skinned woman told one of the heavily armed militia members as they “patrolled” a border town in Arizona. “Yeah,” a grizzled young veteran sporting a black T-shirt with a U.S. flag chuckled. “Sometimes they think we’re Nazis.”
He then explained that he and his comrades actually belong to two militia groups: Veterans on Patrol and the Three Percenters. The man behind the camera, Inigo Gilmore, takes a sympathetic but highly skeptical look at them for a Journeyman Pictures film titled Arizona’s Veteran Militias are Backing Trump.
They’re prepared for illegal border crossings and other national emergencies — including the possibility of Hillary Clinton winning instead of Donald Trump. As one man flatly declared:
‘Hillary needs to be in prison. Maybe executed.’
And since Barack Obummer and his ilk (like Hillary Clinton) won’t do anything to staunch what they see as a crashing wave of marauding illegal immigrants, this “well-organized militia” is taking matters into its own hands.
‘We have enough drugs and rapists and guns here already, we don’t need more of it.’
They also take their “duties” very seriously and engage in regular “training exercises” in the desert so they’ll be prepared to protect their homeland from any threats that arise.
‘Whether that be Muslim extremists, whether that be the collapse of the federal government.’
You see, these militia members — some of whom are homeless veterans — see themselves as people who love their country even though their country doesn’t necessarily love them. As Inigo Gilmore explains:
‘Herein lies a community that feels abandoned by its government. In this part of Arizona, one in 10 adults are veterans. Many are homeless and unemployed, many feel let down by their government and shunned by a population opposed to the wars in which they fought.’
But we’re not just seeing these pro-Trump, anti-Clinton militia groups along our Mexican border. Thousands of people belong to them all across America. In fact, the III% Security Force — a national group also known as “Three Percenters” — made the news recently when a chapter in Newton County, Georgia, threatened violence against a local Muslim congregation seeking to build a mosque.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution describes them as “a heavily armed and costumed militia group led by McDonough resident Chris Hill.” On his Facebook page, this veteran of the U.S. Marines insists the faith community of his Muslim neighbors “is linked to terrorism.” In a terrifying and now-deleted YouTube video, he even claimed they follow “the Antichrist.”
A report from Reuters (via Raw Story) reports
‘As the most divisive presidential election in recent memory nears its conclusion, some armed militia groups are preparing for the possibility of a stolen election on Nov. 8 and civil unrest in the days following a victory by Democrat Hillary Clinton.’
Chris Hill — a paramilitary member whose code name is “Bloodagent” — and his cohorts add that “they won’t fire the first shot, but they’re not planning to leave their guns at home, either.” How reassuring. Reuters adds that Donald Trump’s faux-populist campaign has “energized militia members like Hill.” Meanwhile, all of Agent Orange’s dire warnings about the election being “rigged” have inspired members of paramilitary groups like the Oath Keepers to engage in “poll watching,” even though these shady voter intimidation tactics could get the GOP into some serious legal trouble.
These militia groups claim they’re not racist, and you do occasionally see non-white people in the various social media posts and videos of weekend “training sessions.” But if they’re really so totally-not-racist, how do you explain this photo from April’s “pro-white,” Confederate flag-festooned event in Georgia? The rally was held at Stone Mountain Park, home to the “Confederate Mt. Rushmore,” a massive granite mountain featuring a carving of Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis.
Watch: Pro-Trump militia groups prepare for armed revolt if Clinton wins.
