On Wednesday evening two FBI sources spoke to Fox News about their investigation into an alleged pay-for-play scheme between Hillary Clinton during her tenure as secretary of state and the Clinton Foundation.
The investigation has been unfolding for over a year, but two separate FBI sources now claim it’s become a “very high priority” and is “likely” to lead to an indictment.
Law enforcement officials told Fox News that evidence keeps coming in, some of which is from WikiLeaks, and some from new emails.
‘There is an avalanche of new information coming in every day,’ one source told Fox News.
Fox News‘ Bret Baier said the probe is more expansive than the FBI once predicted. FBI sources say they’re interviewing people again, some for the third time. According to Fox News, FBI agents are “actively and aggressively pursuing this case.”
Baier also went on to note that the classified email investigation has discovered emails they believe came from Clinton’s server on former Democratic Congressman Anthony Wiener’s computer.
‘The classified e-mail investigation is being run by the National Security division of the FBI. They are currently combing through Anthony Weiner’s laptop. They are having some success — finding what they believe to be new emails, not duplicates, that have been transported through Hillary Clinton’s server.’
Two top Clinton aides, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson, received an immunity deal from the Justice Department that their laptops be destroyed following a review for classified information. According to Fox, however, those laptops haven’t been destroyed and are currently being held at an FBI office in Washington.
The sources also went on to claim that they believe Clinton’s server was hacked by at least five foreign intelligence agencies.
Of course conservatives are having an absolute hay-day after hearing about the latest news. You’d think they’d get tired of worrying about the damn emails after a while, but you know, they’re desperate. I mean, it’s not like the GOP presidential nominee is actually a viable candidate capable of winning the election based on his own merit.
Trump ally Roger Stone couldn’t resist attacking Clinton the first chance he got and tweeted the following after hearing the news:
‘The Clinton Foundations not a charity, it’s a slush fund for grifters-indictment imminent.’
