On Tuesday morning, a source for MSNBC’s Morning Joe confirmed that President-elect Trump won’t push for indictment over Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.

Not even one month ago, Trump told his supporters at a rally in Florida that Clinton “has to go to jail,” stating that:

‘This is the most heinous, the most serious thing that I’ve ever seen involving justice in the United States — in the history of the United States.’

Apparently a month makes a world of difference for The Donald, and despite promises to his supporters that he would “lock her up” once elected, it seems he’s had a change of heart.

When asked about his plans for Clinton during his interview on 60 Minutes, Trump told interviewer Lesley Stahl:

‘I don’t want to hurt them. I don’t want to hurt them. They’re, they’re good people. I don’t want to hurt them. And I will give you a very, very good and definitive answer the next time we do 60 Minutes together.’

Although many of Trump’s close adviser’s support the president-elect’s decision, there are also a handful who are extremely disappointed in the decision. Breitbart News called it a “betrayal of his promise to the American people to ‘drain the swamp’ of out-of-control corruption in Washington, DC.”

Breitbart News, who endorsed Trump for president and have been vocal advocates of the orange-tinted businessman’s move to the political scene, published an article condemning him for the decision.

Conservative political commentator and avid Trump supporter Ann Coulter took to Twitter to share her opinion regarding Trump’s decision. She wrote,

‘Woah! I thought we elected @realDonaldTrump president. Did we make him the FBI, & DOJ? His job is to pick those guys, not do their jobs.”

She went on, calling Trump out for interfering with investigations:

‘As happy as I am that our long national nightmare’s over, NO president [should] be blocking investigators from doing their jobs. #EqualUnderLaw’

Coulter has been known to speak out against Trump in the past, previously calling him out for softening his stance on immigration.
