Rachel Maddow’s ‘SuperZoom’ Reveals Donald Trump’s Terrifying Plans On Immigration (VIDEO)

On Sunday, Kris Kobach — Kansas’ fiercely anti-immigrant Secretary of State — paid fealty to Donald Trump at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J.

There, he met with his Trumpness to audition as the head of Homeland Security. And while reporters snapped photos, some caught a glimpse of what Kris Kobach has in store for our nation’s current and future immigrants.  After all, there are the papers with his proposals for Donald Trump’s first 365 days…Right there in his hand with the text facing out!

These things, of course, don’t happen by accident. Rachel Maddow was the first to notice, and tweeted, “Here’s our SuperZoom” with Kris Kobach’s plans.

…And here’s the money shot with Kris Kobach’s no-longer secret plans to deport as many brown people as possible.

In case you’re dying of suspense and can’t wait for Rachel Maddow and her producers to cook something up, Deadspin reports:

‘Kobach posed for photos outside Trump’s golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey, and in doing so he revealed parts of the plan he pitched to Trump.’

According to Deadspin, these are the three bullet list items they were able to clearly make out.

  1. Update and reintroduce the NSEERS screening and tracking system (National Security Entry-Exit Registration System) that was in place from 2002-2005.  All aliens from high-risk areas are tracked.
  2. Add extreme vetting questions for high-risk aliens: question them regarding support for Sharia law, jihad, equality of men and women, and the United States Constitution.
  3. Reduce intake of Syrian refugees to zero, using authority under the 1980 Refugee Act.

As for the text partially covered by his hand, it looks like Kris Kobach also plans to add 386 miles to the already-existing wall we have along the U.S.-Mexico border and to tackle non-existent “voter fraud.” That means it’ll be even harder for us to throw Donald Trump the hell out in 2016. Think Progress reports millions were eligible to vote in 2016 but couldn’t, due to “newly-enacted barriers to the ballot box.”

For those who haven’t heard of Kris Kobach, he’s behind the voter ID laws in Kansas — among the strictest in the U.S. He has also filed several lawsuits to challenge state laws that help undocumented immigrants. If you care about voting rights, human rights, and the right to flee poverty and persecution as most of our ancestors did, then this likely new addition to Mein Trumpf’s cabinet is not good news.

Kris Kobach also helped lead the charge against President Barack Obama’s 12 executive orders on immigration, which ordered the State, Justice, and Homeland Security Departments to stop deporting four million undocumented immigrants. Why? Because they’re the parents of children who are either U.S. citizens or here legally.

Alas, for these families being ripped apart, an evenly-divided U.S. Supreme court blocked these orders in June. So much for Republicans and “family values.”

Many thought Kris Kobach was in the running for the U.S. Attorney General job, but Donald Trump handed that post to the equally racist Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions last week.
