Donald Trump ERUPTING Into Tuesday Morning Twitter Spasm, Sabotages KEY U.S. Company

Boeing has long been responsible for presidential air travel, having built every Air Force One aircraft. Boeing’s website boasts that:

‘From Presidents Roosevelt to Obama, Boeing airplanes have transported U.S. presidents around the world. The U.S. Air Force announced that it will continue the Boeing tradition with the 747-8, which will replace the two 747-200s that serve as the presidential Air Force One fleet.’

Plans for an upgraded Air Force One, with a projected completion date of 2023 and an estimated price tag of over $3 billion, are already underway. The current Air Force One serves as a mobile Oval Office, and the new Boeing 747-8 is expected to do the same but in a more environmentally-friendly aircraft that reduces carbon emissions.

One president who will never sit in that plane is President-elect Donald J. Trump, who nevertheless has issues with the new aircraft.

According to Trump, there are many things on which it is worth spending taxpayers’ money, like tax breaks for the wealthy people who own Carrier. Saving the environment from global warming? That’s just not worth it.

Immediately after Trump’s tweet Boeing stock lost over a billion dollars.

There is also a slight problem with the math. According to Politico, the actual cost so far of the Boeing 747-8, which was projected to be around $3 billion, currently stands at $1.65 billion.

That isn’t $4 billion and it isn’t over budget projections, even in Trump math.
