Fox News Stuns America & Turns STRONGLY Against Donald Trump Live On Air (VIDEO)

Fox News host Shepard Smith flipped out on President-elect Donald Trump on Monday after Trump tweeted a set of absolutely outrageous claims about the ongoing controversy over Russia’s pro-Trump meddling in the U.S. election.

This meddling took the form of hack based thefts of private documents — including untold numbers of emails — from key persons in the Democratic National Committee. These documents were then passed off to the long-controversial organization Wikileaks, which accepted the task of disseminating the stolen documents to the public.

All of this was done not only to disrupt the U.S. election, but with the express purpose of bolstering Donald Trump’s bid for the presidency.

Informal accusations with these charges abounded against Russia throughout the months before Election Day, as Wikileaks released batch after batch of documents obtained through previously unclear means. Only recently, however — this past Friday to be exact — was the first step seen towards the official confirmation of the allegations that Russia was behind the hacks, when the CIA released a report to that effect.

Trump, however, has carried on for months on end with a position that wavers between asserting that Russia is not in any way connected to the hacks to acknowledging that the nation is almost certainly behind the hacks but insisting that it’s irrelevant.

In this light, Trump fired off a couple of tweets Monday morning defending his positions.

He wrote, “Can you imagine if the election results were the opposite and WE tried to play the Russia/CIA card. It would be called conspiracy theory!”

He added in a follow-up tweet that was full to the brim with nonsense, “Unless you catch ‘hackers’ in the act, it is very hard to determine who was doing the hacking. Why wasn’t this brought up before election?”

First of all, the issue of Russian led hacking meddling with the election results was most certainly brought up — many times — before the election. Second of all, Trump has absolutely no idea what he is talking about when he says that hackers have to be “caught in the act.”

And Fox News host Shepard Smith took Trump to task over all of this, saying:

‘It was brought up before the election. Over and over and over again. U.S. officials absolutely did say before the election that Russian hackers stole emails from Democratic officials and gave them to the website WikiLeaks. But… the CIA has since determined it was all part of an effort to help Donald Trump, not simply to disrupt the election but to help Donald Trump. And 17 national security agencies are in on this assessment.’

Well said, Smith.

After all, no matter how much Donald Trump wants to whine, it’s not as though the accusation that Russia hacked the DNC in order to swing the election Trump’s favor is a baseless one.
