On Monday we reported that 10 electors sent a letter to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper requesting that the intelligence community brief members of the Electoral College on Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.
Since the letter’s publication, it has been endorsed by an additional 19 electors bringing the total up to 29. So far there are 28 Democrats and one Republican involved. The Republican, Christopher Suprun, has refused to vote for Trump.
Additionally, the Clinton campaign endorsed the movement. On Monday, campaign chairman John Podesta spoke out in support of the movement.
‘Each day that month, our campaign decried the interference of Russia in our campaign and its evident goal of hurting our campaign to aid Donald Trump. Despite our protestations, this matter did not receive the attention it deserved by the media in the campaign. We now know that the CIA has determined Russia’s interference in our elections was for the purpose of electing Donald Trump. This should distress every American.’
