Fox News host Neil Cavuto seemingly disagrees with President-elect Trump’s newest plan to grow the United States’ nuclear weapons arsenal.

On Thursday morning, Trump tweeted out proclaiming that “the United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time that the world comes to its senses regarding nukes.”

At this point, Trump is known for dropping bombs on us (no pun intended…) via Twitter. The social media platform seems to be his preferred method of communication, whether it’s for late-night rants, slamming the media, or announcing his proposed plans for handling nuclear warfare.

Later the same day, at the end of Stuart Varney’s Fox Business show, Varney announced:

‘The President-elect communicates via tweet, Twitter. He’s just sent out a new tweet and it’s a big deal.’

After reading the tweet, he continued:

‘That’s quite a statement on a tweet.’

As Varney passed the mic over to Fox host Neil Cavuto, Cavuto crassly joked:

‘I’m thinking this out… Let’s say we get to Dow 20,000 so we’re all richer for it. But Donald Trump also promises more nukes so we’re all blown up just as we’re counting our money.’

To which Varney responded, asking,

‘What? Have you become some kind of leftist all of a sudden?’

A concerned Cavuto shot back, saying:

‘No, I’m just worried. You don’t seem to be.’

Varney responded, telling Cavuto to “get out of here.”

Cavuto repeated:

‘I am thinking about that. That would be something. We hit Dow 20,000… ka-boom.’

Twitter was quick to jump on Trump for his childish logic regarding nuclear weapons. Here are a few of the best:

‘Maybe Trump’s thinking if he incinerates the US before he takes office, we’ll never know how incompetent he really is. (Spoiler: We know.)’

‘@realDonaldTrump “until everyone else agrees not to build more nuclear weapons we’re gonna build SO MANY BOMBS YOU GUYS.”‘

‘@realDonaldTrump “until such time as the world comes to its sense regarding nukes” Ooh such grown-up words, so literate, u r best at words.’
