GOP Operative Goes On Twitter Rant Slamming Trump & His ‘Ball-Washers’ For Their ‘Allegiance To Putin’

Leading anti-Trump GOP operative Rick Wilson used an epic Thursday Twitter rant to slam the president-elect and his supporters who still don’t take the Russians’ election meddling seriously.

Wilson slammed the Trump camp for supposedly being so very concerned with “making American great again” while also harboring basically traitorous loyalties to a foreign leader — Vladimir Putin — who has a long history of hostility against the United States.

After all, Trump and his supporters continue to ignore the mountains of evidence that the Russians interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Evidence to this effect has been presented by basically every one of the intelligence community leaders of the United States, including the head of the CIA, the head of the FBI, and the Director of National Intelligence.

The evidence incriminating the Russians remains so compelling that, on Thursday, the United States announced a harsh round of sanctions against an array of Russian interests and expelled at least a few dozen Russian diplomats from the country.

Countries don’t expel diplomats and announce sanctions on the basis of shaky, uncertain evidence that may or may not definitively incriminate the target of the measures.

And yet, Trump still isn’t completely in step with taking seriously what the Russians did in their months-long series of cyber attacks against the Democratic Party.

Trump’s post-sanctions announcement Thursday claimed that “our country needs to move on to bigger and better things” — even though there is little bigger in the U.S. at the moment then that a presidential candidate whose campaign was bolstered by a historically hostile foreign power won the election and is on his way to the White House.

And Rick Wilson, a national Republican political strategist and media consultant based in Florida who has produced television for governors, U.S. Senate candidates, and super PACS, is among those infuriated by Trump and his supporters taking nothing in this whole Russia situation as seriously as they most definitely should.

He wrote Thursday on Twitter, in part, as follows, on the occasion of Trump’s statement that “we need to move on to bigger and better things:”

‘In the course of the 2016 campaign I don’t know how many times I was called a traitor to America for not supporting Trump… What’s closer to treason? Political opposition to a candidate, or siding with a hostile foreign power in the Intel war? Make no mistake; Trump and his lackeys, ball-washers and toadies today clearly demonstrated their allegiance is to Putin.’
