Sally Field and other celebrities have joined together in a stunning video to urge Congress to “stand up to” and “vigorously oppose” President-elect Donald Trump. Humanity for Progress pulled together actors, activists, and religious leaders to present this commanding plea.

The organization just released its first video, and it is a powerhouse! It kicks off with:

‘The majority of Americans, regardless of whom they voted for, did not vote for racism, for sexism or xenophobia.’

Humanity For Progress describes itself as:

‘A community for justice, equality and progress that wants more women & people of color in higher office. We are always #WithHer.’

As Congress begins its 115th session on January 3, the nonprofit uses a compelling medium to remind its audience that the majority of the country did not vote for “xenophobia, racism, and misogyny,” according to the Huffington Post. This video also urges Congress to oppose all anti-immigrant, anti-environmental, and anti-union efforts.

In truth, Humanity For Progress is anti-Trump, especially when it comes to his cabinet choices. The almost-president’s pick appear to be committed to tearing down whichever department they will head, unless stopped.

Take former Texas governor and presidential candidate Rick Perry, who wanted to abolish three departments, naming two in a debate. Then there was that great “oops” moment. Perry could not remember the third one, which was the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

So who does Trump choose to head up the EPA? Perry!

This Public Service Announcement (PSA) packs a punch:

‘Chris Burbank (Center for Policing Equity), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Lea DeLaria (Orange is the New Black), Sally Field (Lincoln), Tavi Gevinson (Rookie Magazine), Yasmeen Hassan (Equality Now), Rabbi David Ingber, Zoe Kazan (Olive Kittredge), Keegan-Michael Key (Keanu), Naeem Khan (designer), Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, Imam Khalid Latif (University Chaplain, NYU), Reverend Dr. Jacqui Lewis, Janet Mock (MSNBC), Rosie Perez (Search Party), Ai-jen Poo (National Domestic Workers Alliance), Bruce Ratner (New York city developer), Bishop Gene Robinson, Toure (author), and Jeffrey Wright (Westworld).’

This political cause can be followed at #OBSTRUCT and #StandUpForUs. People can also sign this Moveon.org petition, if they wish.

Check out this video. It is outstanding:
