Trump Asks George Lopez To Perform The Inauguration, Lopez Mocks Trump On Twitter

Latino American comedian George Lopez just hilariously dissed the president-elect on Twitter after Trump allegedly asked him to perform at his inauguration.

Lopez wrote this past Monday afternoon, “I have turned down the invitation to perform at the inauguration, then they asked if I had Eric Estrada’s phone number.”

Lopez followed up his tweet with an Instagram post, captioning an image of his tweet with “The desperation has begun… let’s see who tiny hands ends up with.”

The comedian’s post is below.

While there’s been no apparent word from the Trump camp as to their take on Lopez’s tweet — meaning if they really invited him to perform at the inauguration or not — it wouldn’t really be surprising if what Lopez is saying is true.

There have been now innumerable instances of big time performers like Lopez turning down invitations to perform at Trump’s Inauguration Day weekend festivities.

Heck, Trump’s transition and inauguration planning team still has only three confirmed acts for the weekend’s festivities that are independent of the inaugural parade. Those three acts are child star Jackie Evancho, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and the Radio City Rockettes.

Funnily enough, only one of those acts has not expressed some sort of discontent at their participation in the Inauguration festivities. A member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir abandoned her position, and whether or not the Rockettes would be forced to perform at Trump’s Inauguration should they not wish to has also been a hot topic.

As for Lopez and Trump, the two have a long enough standing feud of sorts.

When the comedian was asked by a reporter with TMZ shortly after the election if he would “give Trump a chance” to prove himself a decent president, Lopez responded that he would “give him a chance to suck my ass.”

Lopez and Estrada have a longstanding feud of their own, birthed out of an encounter between Lopez and Estrada decades ago when Lopez was just a teenager and got snubbed by the then-famous “ChiPs” actor.
