Michael Moore Just Went After Trump Hard In An Incredible Facebook Rant You Have To See

On Friday, Rep. John Lewis told NBC’s Chuck Todd that he does not see Donald Trump as a legitimate president. He said:

‘I don’t see the president-elect as a legitimate president. I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected, and they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.’

Naturally, Lewis has received a significant amount of backlash for his remarks, including from President-elect Trump himself. Trump took to Twitter, as he is wont to do, on Saturday morning and said that Lewis is “all talk, talk, talk – no action or results.”

At the same time that Lewis has enraged Trump and followers with his remarks, he has also drawn support from a variety of prominent individuals, including liberal filmmaker Michael Moore.

On Saturday, Moore shared a lengthy Facebook post listing the six reasons why he stands behind Rep. Lewis.

Moore first cited the fact that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by more than 3 million votes as a reason why Trump’s presidency is, to him, illegitimate. He then went on to call Trump a “full-blown malignant narcissist,” arguing that his erratic behavior also makes him unfit to lead the country.

Moore’s third point aligned with Lewis’s original argument that Trump’s presidency is illegitimate because of Russia’s interference, which was specifically intended to help him win. Moore pointed out that “even Trump now admits as much” and argued that his acknowledgment of the hacking alone “makes the election tainted and should be voided.”

As his fourth point, Moore reminded his readers of FBI Director James Comey’s interference shortly before election day. Comey sent a letter to Congress just 10 days before the election, saying that the FBI had, through a separate probe, learned of new emails that could be related to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

Moore argued that Comey’s letter, which sparked an investigation that proved to be fruitless, “most-definitely helped tipped [sic] the balance to the FBI’s preferred candidate, Donald J. Trump.”

Moore’s fifth argument against the legitimacy of Trump’s presidency is the fact that Trump nominated Rex Tillerson, a former CEO of ExxonMobil who has many ties to Russia, to fill the position of secretary of state. Moore argued that Tillerson only wants the position so that he can “get the US sanctions lifted off Russia so that his company…can get back to their exclusive oil deal with Russia.”

Finally, Moore listed the numerous felonies Trump has allegedly committed. These felonies range from:

‘His admitted sexual assaults to whatever he’s hiding in the tax returns, to possibly evading taxes, to his committing fraud with Trump U, to his long list of conflicts of interest.’

If Trump is found guilty of any of these crimes, Moore reminded followers, he could face impeachment.

Moore ended his post by repeating his support for John Lewis’s belief that Trump is an illegitimate president and encouraging readers to call their Congresspeople and “insist he or she not attend the swearing in of an illegitimate president.” Before signing his name to the end of the post, Moore told his followers about calling their congressman or woman:

‘It’s the least you can do short of standing in front of this runaway train.’
