Trump Attacks Civil Rights Icon On MLK Weekend During Early Morning Twitter Tirade (TWEETS)

Donald Trump can’t ever let one slide, can he? Early Saturday morning, the president-elect again took to Twitter to slam Democratic congressman John Lewis.

President-elect Donald Trump degraded John Lewis’ state of Georgia and told him to focus on fixing issues for “his district”:

‘Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk talk – no action or results. Sad!’

These comments from Trump come on the heels of John Lewis speaking candidly Friday with NBC’s Meet the Press, where he identified that he doesn’t believe Trump is a “legitimate president” because of Russian involvement in the election.

When asked whether he would be making attempts to work with Trump, Lewis said:

‘It’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president… I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.’

Unfortunately for Trump, Rep. Lewis is an extremely well respected member of Congress for his work for Georgia and the country, and is often credited with being “the conscience of Congress.”

Donald Trump has likely just made a lot of people very, very angry.
