Following the Golden Globes, when Meryl Streep dedicated almost her entire speech to dissing Donald Trump without even mentioning his name, many people have said that the political opinions of celebrities should be kept private.

Travis Tritt, a country music star, is one of those many people who suggested celebrities keep their political stance private. Tritt who is obviously a Trump fan, tweeted:

‘Advice to all actors, musicians and entertainers: Please stick to your crafts that we all love you for and drop the political rhetoric.’

Apparently Tritt must have forgotten that he too is a musician and entertainer, in the replies to his tweet he told everyone to move on from the election:

‘Over 67 million Americans see right through the Hollyweird liberal agenda’

Just to call out another lovely Trump supporter who thinks that Hollywood stars have no place sharing their stance on who is in the White House, Mark Wahlberg was among those to publicly share his thoughts on celebrities keeping their mouths closed on this topic. Wahlberg said while speaking to Task and Purpose:

‘A lot of celebrities did, do, and shouldn’t [talk about politics]. You know, it just goes to show you that people aren’t listening to that anyway. They might buy your CD or watch your movie, but you don’t put food on their table. You don’t pay their bills. A lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble. They’re pretty out of touch with the common person, the everyday guy out there providing for their family.’

Not letting anything get past him, Billy Baldwin took to Twitter and sarcastically sought permission to express his political stance. He tweeted out:

‘I have a Poli Sci degree, worked on the Hill, ran a political non profit & serve on various political boards… permission granted?’

Baldwin doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of Trump what so ever.

The United States Constitution allows each and every individual to say anything and everything that they please. Last I checked, celebrities are human too and like everyone else have the right to share and express whatever opinions they want to. If celebrities need to keep all opinions to themselves then that would in turn mean that our president–elect, Donald Trump, who is a celebrity himself, needs to refrain from sharing his idiotic views with the rest of us. Liberals did not choose to put a reality TV star who is also a fraud into the White House.
