Donald Trump Has Sunday Evening Twitter Freak Out – Attacks Head Of The CIA (TWEETS)

The president-elect had a characteristically wild Sunday evening Twitter meltdown, attacking Fox News and the head of the CIA in under 280 characters, all in the name of defending Russia.

Trump wrote:

‘Fox News [reported] “Outgoing CIA Chief, John Brennan, blasts Pres-Elect Trump on Russia threat. Does not fully understand.” Oh really, couldn’t do much worse – just look at Syria (red line), Crimea, Ukraine and the build-up of Russian nukes. Not good! Was this the leaker of Fake News?’

These tweets come in the midst of Trump’s obsessive, continuing insistence on sticking with Russia even in the face of the mountains of evidence against the nation as the interest behind the presidential race dynamic changing hacks of Democratic Party interests in the months before Election Day.

In the name of that cause, Trump has taken on numerous occasions, as he does here with these two tweets, to attacking the U.S. intelligence community and to attacking U.S. media organizations.

There is a deep, deep danger to his delegitimization of the U.S. intelligence community. In the absence of U.S. intelligence, there’s no basis left for the nation’s global maneuvering, military of otherwise, besides whatever the president happens to feel like doing at the moment.

And besides all of that, Trump’s attack here doesn’t even have any merit to it. To suggest that the CIA is somehow responsible for the deterioration of certain global situations in which the U.S. has involved itself is ludicrous.

In addition, to suggest that Brennan leaked the “fake news” of the now infamous collection of documents detailing allegations that Trump was personally groomed to run for the presidency by Vladimir Putin is also ludicrous. The head of the CIA is not set out on a campaign to smear Donald Trump such as would be helped along by him leaking the allegations.
