NY Times Exposed For Hiding Trump Story At FBI’s Request (DETAILS)

Just days before the election on Nov. 8, FBI Director James Comey commented on an ongoing investigation into emails found on the laptop of a top Hillary Clinton aide by announcing to Congress that those new emails had been discovered. The news hit every available outlet instantly.

The hypocrisy of Comey refusing to answer questions in front of a congressional committee on Russian hacking into the 2016 presidential elections by saying he would “never comment on investigations in an open forum” was not missed, but the hypocrisy goes much further than just that answer.

The New York Times admitted on Saturday that they had information about Russian interference in the 2016 elections, Trump’s computer server having ties to a Russian bank and Vladimir Putin, and the ongoing investigation into Russia’s claims of having “compromising financial and personal” information on Donald Trump. They chose not to report on any of those things until after the election.

The reason they held on to that information is even more upsetting than the fact that they held onto it. They kept it silent because the FBI asked them to do so.

During Trump’s first press conference after the election, he thanked certain reporters for their coverage while calling out both CNN and Buzzfeed as “fake news.”

‘I want to thank a lot of the news organizations…I will tell you, there were some news organizations with all that was just said that were so professional — so incredibly professional, that I’ve just gone up a notch as to what I think of you. OK?’

Would any of those news organizations who Trump thinks so highly of be The New York Times, who chose to print the information about the ongoing investigation into Clinton’s emails but not to print news about an investigation into Russia’s hacking and influence to aid Trump in the election?

Who is most to blame for one side being covered and not the other? It’s easy to point fingers at The New York Times since we now know they had information that could have derailed Trump’s campaign and chose to keep it under wraps but didn’t do the same for the Democratic nominee. The blame here, however, goes even deeper than that.

Why did the FBI choose to protect Trump by asking news media not to cover the investigation, but not do the same for Hillary Clinton?
