What Bernie Sanders Just Said About The Women’s March Will Leave Trump Furious (TWEETS)

On Saturday, former Democratic presidential candidate and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders praised the Women’s March on Washington, stating that Donald Trump “made a big mistake” by “trying to divide” Americans.

Senator Sanders tweeted a picture of the massive crowd of people in Washington D.C. that came out to march and stand in solidarity with those demanding equality. He also said that President Trump’s attempt to divide the citizens of the United States “actually brought us closer.”

Sanders also posted to his Instagram, elaborating on his twitter message, saying:

‘President Trump, you made a big mistake. By trying to divide us up by race, religion, gender and nationality you have actually brought us closer together. Black, white, Latino, Native American and Asian American, gay or straight, male or female, native born or immigrant we will fight bigotry and create a government based on love and compassion, not hatred or divisiveness.’

Earlier on Saturday, Sanders tweeted a message of encouragement to the hundreds of thousands of men and women that marched on the streets of cities across not only the United States, but the world.

The estimates made for the Women’s March on Washington D.C. put the headcount at around 200,000 people, but organizers say that the number grew well beyond 500,000 people. From coast to coast and country to country, on January 21, 2017, men and women united in the fight against bigotry.
