And, the horror begins.
The president is reportedly planning to issue executive orders banning immigrants from Muslim countries and ending the Syrian refugee program on Wednesday morning.
CNN analyst Juliette Kayyem wrote the following on Twitter Tuesday afternoon:
‘[P]resently being vetted at [Department of Homeland Security]: the [executive orders] ending Syrian refugee program and a suspension of Muslim majority country visas. DHS was also asked to determine whether ending entire refugee program doable and favoring religious minorities in revamp.’

Reuters reported the following exclusive information late on Tuesday:
‘President Donald Trump was expected to sign several executive orders restricting immigration on Thursday… according to several congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter. Trump’s orders were expected to involve restricting access to the United States for refugees and some visa holders from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, said the aides and experts, who asked not to be identified.’
These executive orders come after Trump has spent the first days of his administration issuing similarly wide ranging executive orders, such as one that effectively killed the controversial TPP trade deal and one that defunded the global activities of Planned Parenthood and similar organizations.
Trump’s actions likely to come on Wednesday come after he ran his entire presidential campaign on the premise of stopping the made up threat posed to America’s security by immigrants from Muslim countries. He first made up that Muslim immigrants posed some threat to the security of the United States after the terror attacks in Paris that killed around 150 people in late 2015, and he has stuck to his position of banning Muslim immigrants as a legitimate national security policy ever since then.
