Chuck Schumer Just Responded To General Flynn’s Shady Resignation (VIDEO)

Following the resignation of Michael Flynn from his position as National Security Adviser Senator Chuck Schumer says that resignation is only the beginning.

According to The Washington Post, former attorney general Sally Yates told the White House that Flynn spoke with Russian officials before he was allowed to, which put him in a compromising position.

Sen. Schumer, speaking to the press, said:

‘General Flynn’s resignation is not the end of the story. It is merely the beginning. It is not the last chapter of this saga but only the first. His resignation raises more questions than it answers and the American people deserve to know the truth.’

The focus, Schumer feels, should be on getting honest answers to questions that have yet to be asked.

‘In the days and weeks ahead the Trump administration has many serious questions to answer. These questions must be asked by independent and unbiased law enforcement officers. They must be answered truthfully by administration officials and any attempt to lie or mislead must be countered with the full force of the law. That must be true for every single employee of the Trump administration. From assistants sitting in cramped cubicles to  the man occupying the oval office.’

The Democratic Senator also made a plea to GOP members, asking them to put aside party and demand answers.

‘I hope our Republican colleagues will join us in this call because the crisis here rises above party.

Schumer tweeted shortly after his statement, including a list of questions that need to be answered by administration officials.
