Americans should never forget the Bowling Green Massacre that did not happen in the same way that they should never forget the terrorist attack that did not take place in Sweden, Friday night.
No search engine you use will lead to information about a terrorist attack that happened in Sweden on Friday. Donald Trump lied and created this fictitious attack to rally support around the Muslim Ban.
His administration is a quickly sinking ship, so Trump has reverted to the hateful propaganda and dishonest commentary-filled speeches that helped him win the Electoral College in November. Melbourne, FL is the latest stop on the ‘Trump campaign trail 2.0’ and it was there on Saturday night that Trump concocted a terrorist attack that never happened.
Conservative Floridians don’t need any fuel added to their alt-right fires, but Trump gave it to them anyway. He remarked:
‘When you look at what’s happening in Germany, when you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden — Sweden! Who would believe this? Sweden! They took in large numbers, they’re having problems like they never like they never thought possible.’
What happened in Sweden? Who took in large numbers? What did they take in large numbers of? What kind of problems are they having?
Trump is presumably referring to the number of refugees Sweden took in and drawing direct comparison to problems he figures they must be facing as a result. Unfortunately, his supporters will likely never fact-check to determine there were no such “problems,” before continuing their support of Trump, his wall, the Muslim Ban or any other divisive and ignorant idea he comes up with.
Immediately catching his lie, social media users took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the Swedish terrorist attack:
‘We survivors of the Bowling Green Massacre stand in solidarity with the tragic victims of The Sweden Incident. Oh, the horror. The horror.’

‘I hope the victims of last night’s events in Sweden recover as quickly as did the survivors of the Bowling Green Massacre…NO incident last night in Sweden… NONE.’

NO incident last night in Sweden.
