Advisor extreme and son-in-law to Donald Trump Jared Kushner is an Orthodox Jew. Yet, there he sits at the right hand of the man in the Oval Office. Kushner’s grandparents survived the Holocaust, and his grandmother warned the world against another Hitler, someone just like Trump.
The president is at war with all immigrants and is carrying out his horrific immigration campaign vows. His promises run throughout the government and the country. In an interview with Forbes before Trump took the White House, Kushner talked about his father-in-law:
‘You can’t not be a racist for 69 years, then all of a sudden become a racist, right?” he says. “You can’t not be an anti-Semite for 69 years and all of a sudden become an anti-Semite because you’re running.’
However, Trump is indeed showing his racist side. The acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] Thomas Homan kicked several Democrats on the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) out of his meeting last week. They blamed House speaker Paul Ryan.
According to Politico, Illinois Democrat Luis Gutierez said:
‘I’m pretty shaken. I’ve been here 25 years and I’ve never been told by the Speaker of the House that I can’t attend a meeting I’ve requested.’
Then, there are the new Homeland Security secretary’s drafts of outrageous guidelines for 45’s immigration orders. According to the Los Angeles Times, these show Trump’s intent to round up people living in the country and deport them.
Current Homeland Security secretary John F. Kelly said:
‘A surge of illegal immigration at the southern border has overwhelmed federal agencies and resources and has created a significant national security vulnerability to the United States.’
Homeland Security plans to hire 10,000 additional enforcement agents and 5,000 border patrol officers for Donald Trump.
Then, there was Trump’s Muslim immigrant fiasco, when he deported thoroughly vetted immigrants. In spite of the public outrage and ongoing Muslim-support rallies, he continues to call for a temporary ban on people entering the U.S. from seven Muslim-majority countries. The courts overturned the president’s first Muslim immigrant ban, but he is rewriting it.
According to Slate, Mrs. Kushner warned of the real dangers that another political leader like Hitler rising to power:
‘TO WARN THE REST OF THE WORLD TO BE CAREFUL. WHO IS COMING UP ON TOP OF YOUR GOVERNMENT?’
In the interview, she predicted another “crazy guy like this, like Hitler. A racist.” Mrs. Kushner said that she told her own children:
‘LET’S HOPE IT’S NOT GONNA HAPPEN AGAIN. IT CAN HAPPEN IF YOU DON’T WATCH WHO COMES UP.’
She reminded people of the black mark on the country, when the government stopped a ship of Jewish refugees and returned them to a certain death in Nazi war camps.
What would Kushner’s grandmother have to say about Kushner working for Donald Trump, a man who is detaining and rejecting immigrants throughout the country?
