Donald Trump enjoyed beating up President Barack Obama for playing golf and taking much well-deserved time away from the White House. Yet, what did the new man in the Oval Office do? He raced out to the golf course for an unbelievable amount of time.
Trump was hard on President Obama’s case for using Air Force One to campaign and vacationing at the taxpayers’ expense. Yet, the new president was on the golf course in a hot minute. Presidential historian Douglas Brinkley told Politco:
‘Donald Trump has zero worry about contradicting himself because he does it all day long. He figures he can get away with it because he does it all the time. There is no worry about it. He says one thing and then says another, and his supporters don’t hold it against him.’
So far, Trump has spent three out of his first four weekends eating up millions of the country’s dollars with Secret Service protection. He has accumulated a whopping 25 percent of his time in getaways.

Yet, this is what he said about President Obama according to Politico:
‘President Barack Obama’s vacation is costing taxpayers millions of dollars — unbelievable!” he wrote in one of many tweets criticizing Obama for taking a trip.’
On the campaign trail, Trump promised he would be too busy as president to even golf at all Politico said:
‘I’m going to be working for you, I’m not going to have time to go play golf.’
In a humorous turn, Trump’s aides have tried to hide reporters from seeing 45 golfing. They even covered a room with black plastic bags to cover the media’s view. Aides say he was just playing “a few holes.”

Trump typically plays for five hours. He played Sunday and Monday of this week.

All presidents have their getaways. George H.W. Bush went to Kennebunkport. George W. Bush cut brush on his Texas ranch. However, ethics attorney Richard Painter said:
‘Are we going to have a four-year campaign? Are we going to pay for that? Are we going to pay for him to be there every weekend? We have always accepted that presidents [sic] campaign in the year of an election, but he has been in office one month.’
Expect frequent mini-vacations to Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida vacation home. Calling the estate the southern White House does not make it less of a vacation.
