Wtf…

It seems Trump finally went full racist during a meeting with state attorneys general on Tuesday when he reportedly claimed bomb threats across the United States against Jewish community centers and schools over the past few weeks could be false.

The new president’s claims echo comments made by former KKK Grand Wizard and pro-Trump supporter, David Duke. As ThinkProgress notes, Duke’s long pushed the false flag conspiracy theory himself.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro told reporters Trump said the threats are sometimes “the reverse.” Shapiro a Democrat, went on to explain to BuzzFeed:

‘He just said, ‘Sometimes it’s the reverse, to make people – or to make others – look bad,’ and he used the word ‘reverse’ I would say two or three times in his comments.’

Confused, Shapiro told BuzzFeed legal editor Chris Geidner, “I really don’t know what he means, or why he said that. It didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.”

Although he didn’t explicitly say it, reporters say what Shapiro likely felt he could not:

Despite having a Jewish daughter and son-in-law, Trump has hardly acknowledged the influx of anti-Semitic hate across the country in recent weeks. Instead, he dodge several opportunities, as ThinkProgress notes.

During a press conference last week, after months of threats against the Jewish community, Trump proclaimed that “Anti-Semitism is horrible, and it’s going to stop. The anti-Semitic threats targeting our Jewish community and community centers are horrible and are painful and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil.”

However, his comments came a little too late.

The executive director of the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, Steve Goldstein, released a statement calling Trump’s sudden and delayed acknowledge of anti-Semitism “a Band-Aid on the cancer of Anti-Semitism that has infect his own administration.”

‘His statement today is a pathetic asterisk of condescension after weeks in which he and his staff have committed grotesque acts and omissions reflecting Anti-Semitism, yet day after day have refused to apologize and correct the record.’

Goldstein continued, noting the Trump administration’s blatant anti-Semitism:

‘Make no mistake: The Anti-Semitism coming out of this Administration is the worst we have ever seen from any Administration… When President Trump responds to Anti-Semitism proactively and in real time, and without pleas and pressure, that’s when we’ll be able to say this President has turned a corner. This is not that moment.’

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said anti-Semitism is one the rise, and is currently worse since it’s been since the 1930s.
