Shep Smith Brutally Mocks Kellyanne Conway For ‘Microwave’ Comment (VIDEO)

Throughout his constant feud with the press, there have been a few news outlets that President Donald Trump has been able to count on as being relatively supportive of his administration and agenda.

Chief among those outlets is Fox News, and their support of Trump does make sense to an extent. They are a notably conservative network and Trump is pushing a conservative agenda. However, there are some Fox News commentators who will only tolerate so much of Trump’s insistence on “alternative facts” and bullying of the press.

Shepard Smith has consistently been one of the network’s most vocal voices when it comes to criticizing the Trump administration.  Of late, Smith has turned his attention to Kellyanne Conway for her insistence on alternative facts.

Smith began his broadcast by referring to Conway as someone “whom we really don’t quote much anymore because, well, history.” From there, Smith expressed confusion over Conway’s insistence that a microwave oven could be used to spy on you.

During an interview with New Jersey’s The Record said that microwaves could be used as a means of surveillance.

‘What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other. You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets — any number of ways, microwaves that turn into cameras. We know that that is just a fact of modern life.’

Of course, Conway’s claims regarding microwaves are completely false. Smith appeared rather bemused at Conway’s comments and then went onto debunk her statements saying that “microwaves heat food” and “cameras take pictures.”

‘Microwaves do not turn into cameras. Fox News can now confirm microwaves heat food, cameras take pictures, microphones don’t have cameras, and microphones cannot turn into cameras. Fox News now confirms.’

It is likely that Smith misspoke above and meant to say “microwave” instead of “microphone.” Regardless, the absurdity of Conway’s comments remains. Microwaves cannot be used as surveillance devices and neither Conway nor Trump have produced any evidence regarding Trump’s claims that his home was wiretapped during the campaign.
