Aspen Residents Just Ruined Trump’s Kids’ Govt. Funded Vacation (IMAGES)

The Trump hypocrisy rears its ugly head yet again.

In 2012, Donald Trump attacked Michelle Obama on Twitter for taking a vacation in Aspen, Colorado. He specifically tweeted about the expense of Mrs. Obama’s trip to the taxpayers:

‘With 15 per cent US real unemployment and a 16T debt, @Michelle Obama’s luxurious Aspen vacation – her 16th – cost us over $1m.’

Trump got pretty bent out of shape when Michelle Obama took a vacation; however, he’s been oddly silent about his own children’s Aspen vacation.

The three eldest Trump children — Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Jr. — are currently in Aspen with their families. The group, according to the Independent, is accompanied by 100 Secret Service agents. No numbers have been released regarding the total cost of the trip — although we do know that the Secret Service has spent $12,208.25 on ski equipment and apparel — but with that many agents, it seems safe to say that it isn’t cheap.

Frustrated by the expense, the president’s policies, and the overall inconvenience of having members of the first family in the area, many Aspen locals have taken to the streets to protest.

Many of the protesters, shown in the tweets below, are specifically speaking out against the President’s proposed Environmental Protection Agency cuts.

Others in the area might not be holding up signs in protest, but they’ve still made their irritation known. One New York mother, who is vacationing in Aspen as well, told Vanity Fair that “everyone is annoyed” by the Trump family’s presence.

‘They’re everywhere. There are so many of them. Everyone is complaining. Everyone is annoyed.’

At the same time, plenty of other people have expressed their outrage on Twitter.

The hypocrisy is real, and the country is aware of it. Unfortunately, the chances of anything changing are slim.

President Trump has recently been criticized for the number of golfing trips he has taken since his inauguration, with many people pointing out the fact that Trump attacked President Obama every time he was spotted on a golf course. In a press briefing on Monday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that the difference between Obama golfing and Trump golfing comes down to “how you use the game of golf.”

There is a very slight possibility that the president is doing something productive on the golf course. However, the same can’t be said for his children, and Sean Spicer is going to have a very difficult time trying to convince the American people otherwise.
