Pamela Anderson Confesses To A Romantic Relationship With Julian Assange (VIDEO)

Whistleblower Julian Assange’s name has been in the news recently, but, at least for now, not for anything related to WikiLeaks.

Rumors have been circulating recently about Assange’s love life, and the woman he is said to be dating, Pamela Anderson, helped those rumors along in a recent blog post.

In the post, which was published on Thursday, Anderson discusses at length her feelings for Assange:

‘My relationship with Julian — it’s no secret. He is one of my favorite people and he might be the most famous, most politicized refugee of our time. Famous for being persecuted. Famous for being persecuted is not a position of power but a position of vulnerability.’

Anderson also expressed her concerns about the “tremendous responsibility” that Sweden — where he is wanted for questioning in a sexual assault allegation — must feel to give Assange up. She then added:

‘Julian is a human being who is extremely empathetic and cares deeply about the world.
And because of his work he has made some powerful enemies in a few countries — America especially — by exposing them.’

‘Julian is trying to free the world by educating it.’

‘He is the strongest person I know, but, living as he is is very unhealthy, demeaning and inhumane.’

The actress and animal rights activist also said in her blog post that she is “getting more involved with The Courage Foundation,” which she described as an organization that “helps to defend whistleblowers like Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, and Julian Assange.”

According to a recent report from AOL, Anderson has frequently visited the Ecuadorean Embassy in London where Assange currently resides — at least six times in the past seven months — behavior that only adds to the rumors that she and Assange are dating.

Anderson also discussed her relationship with Assange during an interview with a Swedish talk show. In the interview, Anderson responded to a question about whether their relationship was romantic by saying, “Well, he’s imprisoned, that would make it a little bit difficult.”

She then said, when pressed further, “Let’s see what happens when he’s free. But you know I spend probably more time with him than any other man socially, which is very odd.”

A clip from the interview, which is scheduled to air on Friday night, can be seen below, via YouTube.
